Camping at Dry Tortugas National Park: January 14-16
Ever since we learned it was possible to camp on this very remote island in the Gulf of Mexico, we’ve wanted to do it. It was as incredible as we’d hoped. Special guest appearance by Carlos the Crocodile!
Jamaica: February 18-25
Kris and Orsi’s 10th anniversary in Negril? Of course we were in.
Washington DC: May 23-28
Matt’s company has an annual event in DC, so we turned it into a vacation.
Hurricane Irma Evacuation (SD/MN): September 5-22
We had planned to celebrate my in-laws’ 50th anniversary on this trip, but it ended up being a surprise evacuation where we spent multiple days fearing we’d lose our home.
2016
Sedona: January 23-24
My in-laws were spending January at a condo in Scottsdale for the second year, so we went to visit and took a side-trip up to Sedona.
Copenhagen and Berlin: September 15-27
We visited these two cities for the first time, and fell in love with both of them. Copenhagen is a liberal, cycling wonderland, and Berlin is modern yet packed with Cold War history.
New York for Hamilton (and Christmas, and The Great Comet): December 8-12
We went to New York near Christmas time to remember what winter is like, and see Broadway shows.
2015
Scottsdale and the Grand Canyon: January 16-20
My in-laws had a condo in Scottsdale for a month, so Matt and I went to visit and see the Grand Canyon for the first time ever.
Jamaica: February 13-21
We took our third trip to Negril with our friends who go annually. I love it more every time we go.
Quebec and New England: May 23-30
Matt and I road-tripped from Burlington, VT to Montreal, Quebec City, coastal Maine, and back to Vermont again.
San Juan/Rincón, Puerto Rico: December 10-13
We spent a night in San Juan and two in Rincon with our friends from Minneapolis, and considered maybe just moving to Rincon.
2014
Puerto Rico and Southern Caribbean Cruise: February 21 – March 4
We spent a week on a ship and some gorgeous islands, and then I learned that Vieques is exactly as wonderful as I’d hoped.
New Orleans: May 7-12
We went to New Orleans for jazz, tons of great food, hanging out with friends, and to walk a million miles around the city. It gets better very time we visit.
New York: August 14-18
Five of us went to NYC to see Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and did a great job at covering a lot of ground. We saw weird Shakespeare, Coney Island, and had a ton of great food and drink.
Las Vegas/California Roadtrip: November 22 – December 1
2013
Chicago: December 12-15
Matt and I went for a short weekend in the best city for Christmas, and covered a lot of ground.
Florida Keys: October 5-12, 2013
We took my in-laws to southern Florida and the Keys, and it was GREAT.
Las Vegas: June 6-9, 2013
Eight of us went to Vegas for my 40th birthday. I would recommend celebrating every birthday in Vegas, really.
Washington, DC: April 26-29, 2013
Matt and I had a companion voucher to burn, and neither of us had been to our nation’s capitol in a very long time. Problem solved!
Jamaica: February 16-26, 2013
We spent 11 days in Negril with our friends, on possibly my first-ever completely relaxing vacation. We also learned the hard way that all-inclusives are not for us. At all.

San Francisco: November 1-5, 2012
Hangin’ in the Bay Area and singing shanties with our friends from Seattle.
Camping at Lake Itasca: September 27-30, 2012
Our first honeymoon trip took us to the Mississippi Headwaters at the absolute perfect time of year.
Chicago: August 25-27, 2012
We took a long weekend trip to wander around one of my favorite cities.
Our honeymoon in Europe: May 2-19, 2012
18 days and 8 countries. We covered a lot of ground and set foot in Africa for the first time.
Las Vegas: February 24-26, 2012
Six of us went to Vegas to celebrate Matt’s birthday, and Wendy and I jumped off the Stratosphere.
2011
Boston: November 4-7, 2011
We took a long weekend after Matt’s conference in Worcester to see more of one of our favorite new cities. I also visited states #49 and 50, New Hampshire and Maine.
Seattle: October 21-23, 2011
Matt went to another work conference, and I hung out with Steve, Colleen, and Very while experiencing some of Seattle’s more interesting public infrastructure.
Philadelphia/Atlantic City: October 7-9, 2011
Another fall work conference for Matt, and more tourism for me. We visited Atlantic City for the first time!
California: September 30 – October 2, 2011
The first of Matt’s many fall work conferences, on which I accompanied him and got to see a lot more of the US.
Key West: September 19-24, 2011
We took a 5-day ‘pre-honeymoon’ trip to Key West right after our wedding. We took a seaplane trip to the Dry Tortugas and drove up the Florida Keys to Miami.
Bermuda: July 21-24, 2011
Matt created a cocktail with Barritt’s Ginger Beer and won us a 4-day trip!!
Milwaukee: June 24-26, 2011
Six of us headed east to see a terrible Twins game (but the tailgating and bars made up for it).
Los Angeles: April 22-25, 2011
Another work conference for Matt took us back to California again.
San Diego: March 25-27, 2011
A very quick weekend trip to California.
Las Vegas: March 4-9, 2011
Matt and I went to Vegas for the WCC tournament and the NCB show, with a side trip to Iowa.

Upstate New York: November 19-21, 2010
Matt had to go for work; I tagged along for Vermont, hockey, and the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Hawaii: October 2-13, 2010
Kauai (with Steve and Colleen), Maui, and Oahu, with a bonus trip to LA. Oh, and Matt asked me to marry him!
Duluth: September 3-6, 2010
Camping, the US Hockey Hall of Fame, blackjack winnings, and Dan and Kate’s wedding.
Milwaukee: August 27-29, 2010
Matt and I went to Milwaukee to see the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and to explore the land of my birth.
New Orleans: April 22-26, 2010
We visit the Big Easy (plus the Gulf Coast), and consider maybe just staying permanently.

Eight of us went to the beer city for Matt’s birthday. It was way more fun than you think!

Southern Caribbean Cruise: December 11-20, 2009
Matt and I visited 6 islands (and rocked them all). We stopped in St Maarten, Dominica, Grenada, Tobago, Barbados, and spent a couple extra days in Puerto Rico.

Las Vegas for Kate’s birthday: September 18-21, 2009
Dan and Kate invited us to Vegas to celebrate her 30th birthday. Who could say no to that?
Menominee, Michigan: August 7-9, 2009
I took Matt on a roadtrip to visit my mom’s hometown, where we visited my grandparents for many years. We experienced Upper Michigan and Wisconsin to the fullest.
Chicago for the World Cup qualifier: June 5-7, 2009
Matt and I went to see the US men’s national team take on Honduras at Soldier Field!
Jamaica: February 15-22, 2009
Matt and I spent a week on the beach in Negril, and didn’t ever want to come home.

Matt and I met Colleen and Steve and several of his friends for a weekend in the most ridiculous city on earth.

We went to mexico to celebrate our one-and-a-half year anniversary!
Western Caribbean Cruise: January 12- 19, 2008
Five of us paid visits to Key West, Grand Cayman, Honduras, and Cozumel. I didn’t think we could outdo the last cruise, but we won!

Seattle for Bumbershoot: August 31 – September 4, 2007
Matt and I went to Seattle to visit Colleen and Steve, to stumble around the city, and to see both the Wu-Tang Clan and Fergie at Bumbershoot.
The baseball roadtrip: August 2 – 5, 2007
Wendy, Willis, Matt and I went to Chicago and Milwaukee to see two baseball games over a long weekend, with much good entertainment in between.
North Dakota for Roughrider Days: June 28 – July 1, 2007
Five of us visited Cindi’s hometown for their annual citywide party. We all managed to make it out alive.
Cruise to the Eastern Caribbean: March 25 – April 1, 2007
we went to Puerto Rico, St Thomas, the Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas. Months later, we’re still laughing hysterically whenever we talk about it.
Team Awesome in Las Vegas: January 12 – 14, 2007
Six of us went to Vegas. Six of us returned alive. That was pure luck.

Denver for the Dalai Lama: September 15-17, 2006
Stephanie and I went to see the Dalai Lama in Denver, and managed quite a bit of hiking in the Rocky mountains as well.
New Mexico/Colorado: September 1-5, 2006
I wandered off by myself again and managed to cover a lot of ground. I really love New Mexico.
Chicago for Lollapalooza: August 3-7, 2006
I saw many shows and got to spend the weekend with Lauren. So much fun.
Alaska: June 30 – July9 , 2006
I don’t have words to express how amazing Alaska is. We spent time in Anchorage, the Kenai Peninsula, and Denali National Park.
Orlando to visit la familia: May 27-30, 2006
Stephanie and I took a whirlwind tour, including stingrays, rollercoasters, dancing all night, a reunion with Alina, dirty dolphins, and driving a mustang to the coast.
DC for the cherry blossom festival: April 1-3, 2006
Since I was a little kid, I’ve wanted to see the cherry blossoms in Washington, DC. I finally got my chance!
Bahamas: January 26-30, 2006
In which Jenni discovers there are places in the world where the ocean IS actually that amazing turquoise color. Featuring an extra-special bonus trip to Kentucky.
