My name is Jenni. I like to travel. A lot. I have this deep-seated, haunting wanderlust that has been troubling me since I first got behind the wheel of that 1985 Dodge Aries station wagon with the blood-red velour interior, fake wood paneling, and faulty stick-shift. I have a need to see new things, out of the fear that there’s some essential experience without which my life will be judged trite and pointless.
(That last part isn’t really true, but I do love to travel as much as possible.)
I live in Key West, Florida (a.k.a. Paradise) with my husband, Matt, and our travel mascot, Bally Basketball (you’ll see him in a lot of photos around here). I’m a senior developer working primarily with .NET, Entity Framework, jQuery, Ajax, and SQL Server. I’m a die-hard Gophers Hockey fan (Goldy Gopher was at our wedding reception), and love to garden, knit, and nerd out about personal finance. Our goal is to someday own a bar on a beach in the Caribbean, and we’re working hard for that. I lived in Minneapolis for 30 years, and while I love it there, I do not love winter.
Runaway Truck is where I write about our adventures. I have some other websites which are 100% guaranteed to either waste your valuable time or make you laugh, possibly even both.
- Chocolate mussolini is my blog.
- I’m the queen of subtle on Flickr.
- I’ve owned the supernerdy 404lab.com since the early days of the internet.
- You can probably find me on Twitter and Facebook too, if you look hard enough.
You can contact me, if you like. I’m often friendly, especially to strangers. Email me at konrad [dot] jenni at gmail.com. If you show up at my house unannounced, though, I’m bound to be cranky.
