i’m jenni, and this is my travel journal. i pretty much live for travel, and there are only a few things that keep me from being on vacation constantly:

• needing to make money to be on vacation constantly
• my awesome friends, who keep me too busy here
• i love my hometown, minneapolis.

upcoming trips: we’re going on our honeymoon in may! it’s a week-long mediterranean cruise leaving from rome, followed by a week of wandering in europe.

02.2012		las vegas six of us went to vegas to celebrate matt’s birthday, and wendy and i jumped off the stratosphere!
11.2011		boston we took a long weekend after matt’s conference in worcester to see more of one of our favorite new cities.
10.2011		seattle matt went to another work conference, and i hung out with steve, colleen, and very while experiencing some of seattle’s more interesting public infrastructure.
10.2011		philly/atlantic city another fall work conference for matt, and more tourism for me. we visited atlantic city for the first time!
9.2011		california the first of matt’s many fall work conferences, on which i accompanied him and got to see a lot more of the US.
9.2011		key west we took a 5-day ‘pre-honeymoon’ trip to key west right after our wedding!
06.2011		bermuda matt created a cocktail with barritt’s ginger beer and won us a 4-day trip!!
07.2011		milwaukee six of us headed east to see a terrible twins game (but the tailgating and bars made up for it).
04.2011		los angeles another work conference for matt took us back to california again!
03.2011		san diego quick weekend trip to california!
03.2011		las vegas matt and i went to vegas for the WCC tournament and the NCB show, with a side trip to iowa.
11.2010		upstate new york matt had to go for work; i tagged along for vermont, hockey, and the baseball hall of fame!
10.2010		hawaii kauai, maui, and oahu, with a bonus trip to LA!
09.2010		duluth camping, hockey hall of fame, blackjack winnings, and dan and kate’s wedding!
08.2010		milwaukee matt and i went to milwaukee to see the mighty mighty bosstones, and to explore the land of my birth.
04.2010		new orleans matt and i visit the big easy (plus the gulf coast), and consider maybe just staying permanently.
02.2010		milwaukee eight of us went to the beer city for matt’s birthday. it was way more fun than you think!
12.2009		southern caribbean cruise matt and i visited 6 islands (and rocked them all).
11.2009		boston i tagged along on matt’s business trip to visit states 45, 46, and 47!
09.2009		las vegas for kate’s birthday dan and kate invited us to vegas to celebrate her 30th birthday. who could say no to that?
08.2009		menominee, michigan i took matt on a roadtrip to visit my mom’s hometown, where we visited my grandparents for many years. we experienced northern michigan and wisconsin to the fullest.
06.2009		chicago for the world cup qualifier matt and i went to see the US men’s national team take on honduras at soldier field!
02.2009		jamaica matt and i spent a week on the beach in negril, and didn’t ever want to come home.
10.2008		las vegas (for the fourth time) matt and i met colleen and steve and several of his friends for a weekend in the most ridiculous city on earth.
05.2008		puerto vallarta matt and i went to mexico to celebrate our one-and-a-half year anniversary!
01.2008		western caribbean cruise five of us paid visits to key west, grand cayman, honduras, and cozumel. i didn’t think we could outdo the last cruise, but we won!
09.2007		seattle for bumbershoot matt and i went to seattle to visit colleen and steve, to stumble around the city, and to see both the wu-tang clan and fergie at bumbershoot.
08.2007		the baseball roadtrip wendy, willis, matt and i went to chicago and milwaukee to see two baseball games over a long weekend, with much good entertainment in between.
07.2007		north dakota for roughrider days five of us visited cindi’s hometown for their annual citywide party. we all managed to make it out alive.
03.2007		cruise to the eastern caribbean we went to puerto rico, st thomas, the dominican republic, and the bahamas. months later, we’re still laughing hysterically whenever we talk about it.
01.2007		team awesome in las vegas six of us went to vegas. six of us returned alive. that was pure luck.
09.2006		denver for the dalai lama stephanie and i went to see the dalai lama in denver, and managed quite a bit of hiking in the mountains as well.
09.2006		new mexico/colorado i wandered off by myself again and managed to cover a lot of ground. i love new mexico.
08.2006		chicago for lollapalooza i saw many shows and got to spend the weekend with lauren. so much fun.
06.2006		alaska i don’t have words to express how amazing alaska is. we spent time in anchorage, the kenai peninsula, and denali.
05.2006		orlando to visit la familia stephanie and i took a whirlwind tour, including stingrays, rollercoasters, dancing all night, a reunion with alina, dirty dolphins, and driving a mustang to the coast.
04.2006		dc for the cherry blossom festival since i was a little kid, i’ve wanted to see the cherry blossoms in washington, dc. i finally got my chance!
01.2006		bahamas in which jenni discovers there are places in the world where the ocean IS actually that amazing turquoise color. featuring an extra-special bonus trip to kentucky.
11.2005		budapest/prague bertine and i spent seven days in former soviet-occupied territories, doing our best to boost the retail economies and get to know the naked locals.

10.2004		san francisco because california knows how to party. my sister demanded we take a weekend trip. she chose the place (my suggestion was reno). she was right, as usual.
