I did an adapted version of the Walk of Shame into work today, wearing the same clothes I had on yesterday. There was no actual shame, just the fact that I forgot my bag in the car last night and was too damn cold to go out there and get it from the parking lot this morning.
Nothing screams CLASSY like changing your underwear in the bathroom at work. Wednesday evening, we joined la familia and Wendy (who’s pretty much part of la familia) to celebrate Stephanie and Escobar’s birthdays. Matt and I also shopped at Ikea, and did what everyone who goes there is obligated to do at least twice a year: bought one hundred candles. WE ARE SET FOR LIFE. Last night, I made some pretty awesome calzones (using the dough recipe that’s just flour, baking soda, salt, and a bottle of beer) for dinner, then we went to pub quiz at Keegan’s because it was drawing night for the trip to Boston. We did not win the quiz or the trip, but a cute old guy did, so it was fine. Also, I knew almost all the answers, and that never happens! I was most proud of knowing almost all the sports questions, including the names of the Gopher men’s football, basketball, and hockey coaches. Apart from hockey, all of that is entirely Matt’s fault. (Speaking of hockey, GOPHERS TICKETS GO ON SALE TOMORROW. What else could get me out of bed at 9am on a Saturday?) And now, I’m going to go do some work. If you like, you could start reading about our trip to Seattle! I have another two days to add, but I’m sure you’ve been dying to hear about the spectacular disaster we call Fergalicious. D to the E to the… never mind.Jenni
