Hello, my friends, hello.
Here are the last few days in a flash!- Thursday: Work crabbiness, losing my voice over it. Karaoke with Jeffrey and Heather. RULED. I danced to Play that Funky Music and Ice Ice Baby at 1am. Hi.
- Friday: Tom left. Sigh. Helped Wendy move into her new place. Saw my boyfriend Hurley. Realized at 10pm that I was exhausted and there was no way in hell I was going out.
- Saturday: VB.NET class all day. Wrote ‘The Awesomest Notepad Ever’, with some assistance from Tom. We had lunch at Espresso Royale, which I haven’t been to since Paul lived here (like, years and years). Went out with Kaye, watched some Olympics and Tony Hawk Somethingorother (all I know is she gets REALLY into that game), then went out again. To the NASCAR bar. We’re never going to be accepted as regulars there. Even if we pretend to like NASCAR and country music, there’s no way we’re going to drink MGD. That’ll be a dead giveaway that we don’t belong.
- Sunday I worked on my knitting while Peter worked on my computer issues. I now have backup storage, and he took my old server home to put Linux on it and make it a firewall for me. After that, he’ll set up my wireless again, and my home network will be fully pimped. I gold-medaled in the Knitting Olympics!! I’ve been wearing them around!! They’re so damn cute, it makes me want to make the hat, even though I’m not a hat-wearer at all. Afterwards, I went out for nachos. I did some kissing. I went bowling. I got over 100, which is a big day for me. We went out laaaate (I need to stop this too-late-on-a-school-night thing, seriously) and hung out at Chiang Mai. I went home and slept hard. I was sore all over from weightlifting and weird crunches.
- Tonight I am going to bar bingo. Jane and Wendy and I are currently obsessing about fundraisers.
- Speaking of, here’s the tentative plan:
– Booth at the IDS Center on March 13
– Bowling fundraiser in St Paul on April 22 I’m awaiting final confirmation on both of those, but they’re both a pretty safe bet. Since we’re holding a raffle at the bowling event: if you or anyone you know is able to donate prizes for that, we will LOVE YOU and also make sure to give mad props to your company on all our promotional materials. Of which there will be plenty, you can count on it.

your questions, answered
q:Some mean person stole my laptop… What kind of new computer should I buy? a: A Dell! One with a GPS tracking device installed in case this happens again. Also, get yourself a Firewire drive like I just got for my backups, because the flashing light show it does is nothing short of DISCOTHEQUETASTIC. I’m kind of in love with it. |
