or whist, either.

OH MAN.

Check out what Regan sent me!!! I’m dying. That bank is three times the size of the one I have. And a Paul Frank belt buckle?? Seriously, I’m dying of awesomeness. She has also set me up with her financial-planner husband. Between my accountant, Edward (giggle), and a financial planner, I might be mistaken for a member of the establishment. Shh, don’t tell anyone.

Monday night, I had scratch-your-eyes-out PMS, so I bailed on all social activities and stayed home. I spent a solid two hours on the phone, and make remarkable progress on the aforementioned financial planning. I closed two accounts, had words with US Bank for making my life difficult (to their credit, they were very apologetic about it), and switched all my bills to my airline-miles card so that I can fully stick it to the man. This is one of those plans that would’ve led to immense disaster in my early 20s, but now I’m old and know what the hell I’m doing, and am very good at beating them at their stupid games.

I also switched car and renter’s insurance, and that’s saving me $800/year. How is that even possible? I have no clue.

Last night at .NET class, Tom and I tried not to doze off during the chapters on the structure of XML documents, and the introduction to client-server architecture. We were intolerable during the SQL Server portion; to keep from whispering to each other the whole time, I wrote email and he read golf articles. The chapter on how to write DLLs and overloading methods and inheritance was good. But damn, I’m glad we’re through the fundamentals now.

During the XML chapter, I downloaded some of the XML files from 404lab.com and proceeded to write a little application to manage the 404 of the week. I was so proud of myself! I won’t actually use it, though, because I’m more of a web-based girl, in case you hadn’t noticed. Still, I can do it. Now I wonder why I was so impressed with programmers before. Haha. Same thing I do, slightly different medium.

OK, I got distracted for an hour or so and now I have to rush! Tonight we’re going for a walk. It’s March, which means spring, even if the weather continues to disagree. Today it hit 40, though! It will soon be outdoor-training time for the 3day! Speaking of which, holy crap. After everything is credited, I have less than $100 to go to $2,200. Unbelievable.

No time for question-answering today. Because HERE I GO!

Jenni

P.S. Tragedy of the day? That fish can’t play canasta.
