rough all around.

I am so glad for the sun right now. What’s with the weird haze, though? Is that the fog that turns people inside out? I guess I’ll find out at lunch.

Last night, I went to weightlifting class, and I spent a really long time wondering why stretching my hamstrings upsets my stomach a lot. I mean, it always has, and I don’t know why. It’s not even really my hamstrings, either, but the backs of my knees and upper calves. When I do straight-leg stretches, I feel like maybe I want to puke. That’s bizarre.

Anyway, I left class really riled up, and want to up my weights. Except it makes my neck really stiff, so I dunno. I think I need to make friends with a physical therapist who can advise me on injuries.

I went to FightKnitting Club, and was happy to see that it has expanded since last week. We have seven members now, and are all in agreement that Paul is the cutest boy on earth, that voter turnout would be a lot higher if everybody got to vote at a fire station, and that being the rebound guy after Jesus would really suck. Also, I finished my mittens, as expected, and started on the next pair. I really need to get me a tapestry needle so i can do the weaving-in, for mine are totally ready to wear. And they’re awesome.

I went to the senior center a block from my house to vote this morning. I was there a half-hour after they opened, and still had to wait in line. I spent that time in a text-discussion with Cindi about the makeup of the voting populace at our relative polling places: mine is senior citizens, cute boys, and hippies. Hers is yuppies and millionaires. I’d like to see a citywide poll about that, because it would be funny.

Tonight I desperately need to clean my house (the cats have been neglecting the dishes and filing again), and then I’m going to bellydance class. That jingling you hear from Uptown is my butt. You’ve been warned.
