It is November and I’m wearing flipflops. Work should be closed today so I can be outside*.

Last night I did the weaving-in for one of my convertible mittens. I couldn’t do the other right away, because finishing lays down the hurt on my neck injury more than just about anything. Soon I will finish the other and add the supersecret bonus feature, and then they will be wearable, not to mention completely awesome.

At bellydance class, we started to learn how to do spins. I had massive amounts of trepidation about this, due to my experience doing rolls in Judo. I had to quit, because my vertigo made it nearly impossible; I’d do two somersaults and not be able to stand up again.

However, it was excellent. Apparently horizontal turning doesn’t bother me as much; I still got dizzy, but not so much I couldn’t keep going. A lot of the other girls got dizzy, too. The teacher said the trick is to turn your head around as fast as possible, and sight yourself in the mirror. Not looking down helps, too. I love this class a lot, and it’s going very good things to my hips and thighs.

Also: the cruise has been BOOKED. Vegetarian meals have been requested. We should start stockpiling rum right about now.

Also also: if you guys are interested in contributing to our Aliveness Project Holiday Basket this year, please let me know by tomorrow. We spend about $40 per person, so you can either contribute that amount, or donate and join us in the shopping and gift-wrapping. It’s been a really great project in previous years.

And now, dudes, I have to go find me some lunch. See you tomorrow.

*Outside, where there is currently a school bus parked in front of Rick’s Cabaret. HAHAHA.
