progress report on 101 things in 1001 days (october 2010) 4

Begin Date: July 4, 2010
End Date: April 1, 2013
Items Completed: 11
Progress: 11%

I’m 100 days into this project, and with 11 things done, it seems like I’m on track!

I finished 1 thing in  October 2010:

1) Clean up my external backup drive to make sure there’s always plenty of space

Items currently in progress:

1) Get married (as you probably know, we got engaged in Maui!)

2) Be 100% debt-free (my emergency fund is back to fully funded, so that money will be diverted elsewhere.)

3) Rebuild 404lab to increase ad revenue (still working on css updates occasionally, and graphics will come last.)

4) Finish my travel journals on runawaytruck.com within 60 days of getting home from a trip (I have til 12/14/10 to finish Hawaii. Working on photos!)

5) Finish the two giant afghans I’ve been working on forever (Took the second afghan on the plane to Hawaii, which helped a lot. It’s about 75% done. I have 13 repeats left on the last panel, then assembly and edging. 1/2)

6) Have date night with Matt once a month (We went to dinner and a movie!)

7) Lose 40 pounds (Since we got engaged… well, you know. I’ll probably be dieting for the next year.)

8) Take new photos of every place I’ve lived (12/17 – photos here. There’s one place left in Apple Valley and the rest are in Chicago.)

9) Go to a game in each major pro sport (3/4: went to a Timberwolves game.)

10) Increase my donations to kiva.org to $300 (added $10, currently $210)

11) Cook a recipe from 20 different countries (2/20: sayur lodeh from Malaysia)

12) Revisit 3 places in the US that I love (1/3: went to LA)

13) Put $20 towards debt payoff for each completed task on this list ($20 for the 1 item in October)

Here’s the full list. I’m updating it regularly!

Man. I haven’t accomplished a complete task in October. I’ve been plugging away at a bunch of the larger ones, and planning a trip that will nuke two of them off my list, but that isn’t until May or so.

yeah, i have a ton of in-progress stuff that’s pretty long-term, too. i guess that’s the point, though!

I love your updates! Very inspiring and a good reminder that I should do one of these lists at some point…

Also, I keep meaning to tell you CONGRATS regarding your engagement. :)

it’s really entertaining, but matt can probably vouch that it becomes an obsession at times. haha.
