Today is camping day! The day for camping is today! I cannot wait, as this will be the last camping of the year, and it will also be awesome. I’m leaving work very shortly to go feed las gatas, and then we’ll be on the way.
What happened since last we spoke? Well, Wednesday night, I had dinner with Bryan (who I’d apparently not seen in an entire year, holy crap), and then I met up with Matt, Missy, and Doran at Lyle’s for the happiest hour. There I learned that there’s an ultimate-fighting reality show. This interests me far more than it should. Last night, I won an award for productivity:– hauled all our camping gear out to Miguel
– did the grocery shopping for the weekend (and was embarrassed when the bag boy insisted on carrying stuff out for me so he could continue to talk about tattoos; my car was packed-full like a puzzle)
– dropped off the giant donation bags at ARC because my car was starting to not brake so well
– brought everything into Matt’s just as we thought a tornado was about to descend on South Minneapolis
– ordered pizza while it stormed (intentionally getting far too much, so we could bring the rest to grill at 2am tonight
– did laundry
– watched Survivor and last season’s Office finale (it still made me sniffly) and perhaps some Ninja Warrior
– worked on the new throw blanket
– packed up food supplies
– went to the liquor store
– stopped at Cin’s to pick up her tent so we can set it up for her tonight (she and Wendy won’t arrive til after dark)

– fell asleep on Matt’s lap A pretty awesome day, if you ask me. Followed by today, in which my boss bought us lunch, and I’m leaving very soon for, um, what was it again? See you next week!
