My mom always told me to bring an extra pair of underwear on vacation, just in case. So I always have; on week-long trips, I’ll sometimes even bring two pairs.
I’ve never, ever needed that extra pair of underpants. It’s always come home with me, the last one in the ziploc underpants bag, and I’ll throw them in the wash with the rest of my clothes even though they’re unworn. Underwear that’s visited other countries is by nature unclean, apparently.
I often overpack and bring clothes that I never wear. They usually have that suitcase smell, hence, they get washed.
You know, I totally do that too. And have never used said underpants, but always tossed them in the laundry. Weird.
I, too, always wash the unworn clothes from vacation. It takes the vacation smell out of them, so then the other clothes that didn’t get to come on vacation aren’t jealous.
Huh. What does anthropomorphize mean again?
;-)
oh my god, that’s hilarious. i love it!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! I am not alone! Thanks for the morning laugh! :)
my mom would be so proud to know that her advice is apparently universal!
