possibly he was russian.

I have a new tooth!! Well, most of one, at least.

I went to see Dr Moustache today. He replaced the filling on my broken tooth, then tried to yank the crown out of my head. It did not budge, and for that I’m very thankful. I’ll stop worrying about it for a while, I guess. And though I was going to see Dr Lesbian for my cleaning later this month, I think I’ll switch that to Dr Stache as well. He’s pretty alright for a dude who puts needles in your mouth and then files off chunks of your teeth.

Last night, we went on a date to the Independent (where we saw this guy), then to see Into the Wild at the Uptown. Not only did I cry for the last 15 minutes of the movie, I also cried every time they showed scenes of Denali.

I wish I knew why that place affects me so much. I get misty over lots of places (Maui, Prague, Northern California, other parts of Alaska), but nothing get me quite like Denali. I’m always reminded of that sense of being out in the middle of an enormous place where nature’s completely in charge. It’s so absolutely different from anything we know.

After the movie, I finished up the cutest thing I’ve ever knitted, and that’s saying a lot, since I knit a pretzel once. I have photos but can’t post them til it reaches its intended recipient, which will hopefully be soon.

So, guys. Please look at that photo above and tell me you know of grey-and-blue jeans. I know I can’t be the only one.
