So, you know how i’m a developer and my days are consumed with writing stored procedures and reworking websites? Yeah, that’s exactly why roll-my-own sites lost their charm a long time ago. I finally migrated the entire contents of chocolate mussolini over to WordPress (which seriously could not have been easier), and this is where I’m staying. I learned to like WP when I redid my travel journal; it makes updating really easy.
Hopefully I’ll do that more often, right?
The comments from the old site didn’t transfer, obviously, so we’ll have to start over with that. I’ll also work on writing a script to redirect all the old links in Google so I can point that domain thisaway. Then my move will be complete, and it’ll be time for you guys to give me sitewarming presents*.
In real-life news, I’m a bowling superstar! (I might as well get all the painful nerdery out at once.) Last night, our standings sheet showed that I hold the current high score for a handicap game amongst the ladies. Basically, that’s like the most-improved award, for someone who’s really crappy at bowling. My average is now 104, which is almost a full 20 points more than when I started. And if anyone beats that score in the two weeks til the end of leagues, I’m going to cut them. Missy, you’ve been warned.
*Matt and I once saw something about a sitewarming party on Twitter. Then we died of lame. Seriously, internet.
Yay, semi-real comment system. nice esp since you don’t post on lj anymore.
twitter is just so limiting sometimes.
