Today is a very good day.
This is probably the only time in all of eternity I’ll be happy about a player leaving the Gophers early for the NHL, but in this case: fare thee well, Mr. Frazee. I still have nightmares about that slow-motion goal from the opposite end of the ice.
Also, you can post videos on Flickr now. Since I’m extremely nerdy about my photos, having videos as part of a photoset is something I’ve wished for for some time. Suck it, YouTube! (You’ll probably be seeing a bunch of old videos on my Flickr account tonight.)
Alsoalso, I determined this morning that Northwest Airlines’ new one-checked-bag-per-person policy only applies to tickets purchased after March 29, which means that Matt and I are free to bring the entire inventory of the shops in Puerto Vallarta back with us. Score.
Last night, we went to hang out with my parents, because they had started this campaign of harrassment and guilt in the past few weeks. We finally picked a date, and went out there for dinner. My mom, as usual, made three different meals, then asked us if anyone wanted a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. My brother Escobar showed up long enough to get some food, then disappeared into his video game den. For much of the night, the rest of us argued about a questionably-legal 1099 form my parents had received. But no! We actually had a good time. And were home early enough for our usual evening behaviors, which are none of your business. Also, I did some knitting.
Tonight we’re going to our last Timberwolves game, which is inconveniently timed with the first game in the Stanley Cup playoffs, so we will be keeping track of our local NHL team as much as possible. GO WILD!
Oh, I have the awesomest drink recipe ever coming up, in honor of our last basketball game of the season. Stay tuned.
