Last night, Matt and I went to a relationship study at the University. Mostly because they were paying us $50 to do so, but also because it seemed awesome. It involved a lot of questionnaires and filmed conversation (they put us in a room and had us discuss things while cameras stared at each of us), and afterwards we learned that the goal was to help improve couples’ therapy. It was very exciting, and I can’t wait to see the results of the study. I was just excited about the things we discussed, too, and the fact that it proved once again that I have the best boyfriend in the world. YAY!

My birthday is Sunday, and I will be THIRTY-FIVE years old. I feel like I should be scared of that number. It moves me into another demographic category, after all. Or perhaps it’s an indication that I should grow the hell up. I guess when it comes down to it, I’m one of the most responsible people I know; I’m just also really good at having fun. The point is to be happy, right? Yeah, I’m doing just fine.

In other exciting and very nerdy news,

  • My photo is featured in this article about the Turquoise Trail in New Mexico. I’m so impressed at how good they made it look. Cropping!
  • I’ve published a few knitting patterns on Ravelry in the past few months. I don’t think I could ever consider myself a designer, I just like making really useful stuff. Well, and Philippe. Anyway, my latest venture, posted last week, has been ‘favorited’ by 50 people, and is in 37 queues. It’s kind of exciting to see other people wanting to make your stuff.
  • Today, Mint.com added the investment-tracking that’s been in development for a while. I’m far too excited about that. It’s not quite to the point of replacing Quicken in my heart, but it’s very close. Have I mentioned that it’s free? You should check it out.

In sad news, hockey season is officially over. Thankfully, we have approximately 14 million things to occupy us til October.

Let’s all cross our fingers for good weather this weekend, yes? See you next week!!
