You know how one of the reasons you live in the city as opposed to the suburbs is that you can avoid most traffic-related drama? FAIL. At last count, there were still 4 bridges out, and only one of those is that which collapsed into the Mississippi River last year. The rest are voluntary. Jerks.
Anyway! Today has been excellent, re: bruncheakfast courtesy of work (we’re celebrating June birthdays!), a very quiet day, and the fact that we’ll be cutting out early to go to birthday happy hour. This may feature pub quiz, the same sort we won last night at Keegan’s. Matt even ended up as one of the five finalists in the drawing for the trip to Boston! So close, and yet no east coast trip for us yet. Soon enough, I’m sure.
Tomorrow, there’s a wedding. It was very important to Missy that we go, because apparently she wants backup in an age-old dispute with some ex-friends. THIS WORRIES ME. But since I don’t know them, I guess my shiv can probably stay safely in my clutch. I’ll have it with me at all times, just to be sure.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
