I like a good challenge. 3

Wendy just informed me that she’s planning to post on her blog daily for the month of November, so I agreed to join her, since it’s been on my 101 Things list forever, and god knows I’m not making much other progress on it since the move.

I’ll have more on it later once I get through my photos, but for now: Fantasy Fest is over, and Key West will now go back to being a much calmer place. Granted, this is officially the start of the tourist season, so it’ll be less calm. But nothing could possibly be as nuts as Fantasy Fest.

There’s a lot to dislike about the event (mostly due to my fear of being accidentally picked up by swingers), but it was also really fun. We had a great time on the Zombie Bike ride, the street fair was fun, and the huge parade last night was really entertaining. Where else are you going to see Hugh Hefner, Ron Jeremy, and Shirley from Laverne and Shirley in the same place?

Also, there were beads. LOTS of them.

We barely saw anyone outside today – all the tourists headed to the airport, and we’re pretty sure the entire town is hung over. It was worth it.
