please tell xmas to wait!

Hey, more rushed posting? Imagine.

Let’s see!

Monday we were indeed cookin’. Chris made cream of wild rice soup and I made biscuits with some leeks left over from the soup. Since then, I’ve been having soup and biscuits for lunch. I’ve also made a ton of cranberry sauce, dal with vegetables, and tonight I’m making a giant fruit salad and vegan pumpkin pie for the potluck tomorrow. I’m practically Martha Stewart, only I do most of my baking in my underwear.

Tuesday I rejoiced, for the Y has put their heavy bag back up. I didn’t have my gloves then, but tomorrow that thing and I are doing battle.

My tree looks so awesome will all those packages under there, I don’t want to give them out. I’m sorry, you’ll all just have to come over and admire what would have been yours. Maybe you can have it when I take the tree down in January?

I stayed home the rest of last night and did all my donations paperwork. I filled out forms for 18 checks and mailed them to the 3day, holy crap. I made the payments to Jane and Robin, and I think we’re all set now on the cookie fundraiser. Next up: Valentine’s fundraiser!! Or maybe a bowling event, which would rule.

Last night I also joined 43 places. Because, really, what I need is something to make me travel MORE. Northwest credited my miles for the last trip, so now I have enough for the ticket to Alaska. Since Denali doesn’t have normal hours til May, I think we’ll be waiting until then. In the meantime, I intend to go somewhere else. Like Turkey (**insert subliminal message to Lou here**). May is, like 46 years from now. Or something.

Ohmygod, I’m getting a tattoo tomorrow night. Merry Christmas to me! I met with Jon at Uptown Tattoo tonight so he can ponder the design. Once I told him what it said, he got all excited. I can’t wait. Such an addiction.

OK! I just have news we’re going ice skating as soon as my pies are done baking. I have to get my new skates sharpened!!

Til we meet again,
Jenni

your questions, answered

q:
Is the machinery of capitalism truly oiled by the blood of it’s workers?

a:
Yes, Kevin. And the apathy of consumers. Also, hi! I haven’t talked to you in a while.
