HELLO YOU.
See, I promised I’d be back before I left the continental United States! This week has been a blur of packing and listmaking, but now I am fully prepared for my Alaskan adventure. This morning, I rolled my suitcase out into the living room, and Chloe promptly climbed into her cat bed and started making her sad, moaning meows. My heart broke a little. Thankfully, my mom comes over and hangs out with them while I’m gone. She also sneaks them treats and thinks I don’t know she’s doing it, except they beg for them for days afterwards and don’t want to eat their real food. Wednesday night, we went to trivia at Luce, which was really fun despite Ian’s absolute douchebaggery. Last night, Matt and I went to dinner-and-cocktails at Town Talk, which is now in my top 10 favorite places in Minneapolis, because holy crap. The food was excellent, the drinks are better, and the bartenders beat both of those things by far. Also, they have fried pickles, which give me happyhappy memories of Tennessee, and for which I need to go back soon. And now I’m going to return to counting down the seconds until it is time to go. There are currently 19 hours of daylight in Alaska, and I plan on being outside for as many of those as I can. Somebody alert the puffins that I’ll be there soon!! See you in ten days!Jenni P.S. Keep an eye on Flickr, as I should hopefully be able to post photos from afar.
