So, catching up on things before we run the hell out of town and away from this insane weather!
Last Friday, Matt and I hung out at home watching the Twins game and then went to Masu to meet Felberg for dinner. GOD, that place is fantastic, and they’re nice to vegetarians. Then, since Felberg had never been there, we ended the evening at Nye’s. In a round booth just like old times, of course.
Saturday, we met up with Ryan, Chris(f), Chris(m), and Doran and stood around being really extremely sweaty at the Dakota Jazz Fest. After a while, we headed over to Target Field for Bert Blyleven Day. We had drinks at the Metropolitan Club (because we’re such fancy season ticketholders, apparently), then went to watch the ceremony. Bert wore giant wooden shoes. It was great.
The Twins won, too, leaving our in-person win streak unbroken. That’s pretty remarkable.
After the game, we walked over to Six15 Room (Bradstreet was full) and had another awesome evening there with the same bartenders. Also, we made friends with a St Paul firefighter and his wife. I loved them a lot.
I’m pretty sure I’m the first person in the universe you’ve heard this from: it’s humid here. Apparently we set a record yesterday. This is what that looks like…
Tomorrow, we’ll get up somewhere around 4am and head to the airport for Bermuda. Expect us to be on the beach with a rum swizzle somewhere in the neighborhood of 5pm (that’s 3pm CST, in case you’re keeping track). We just found out where we’re staying yesterday, and I could not be more excited about it.
See you next week!!
