Oh my god, posting on a Saturday. I’ll make it quick.
Last night, we convened at Town Talk for Dawn’s Night Out. (That’s Kaye’s mom, for those not in the know.) We had dinner, hassled the staff, and watched the Gophers game in Duluth. In honor of the game and at Matt’s suggestion, Nick invented a maroon-and-gold drink called the Penalty Shot. I didn’t think it was possible to love him any more, but there it is. Dawn also did a Mexican Wrester with us. I really wish I had a count of the number of people we’ve introduced to that particular experience, because it’s getting to be a substantial crowd. We’re all about spreading the love, or at least the bad ideas. This morning, poor Chloe got shoved in her carrier again for another trip to the vet. They’re rechecking her thyroid regularly (to the tune of a LOT of cash, dammit) to make sure the dosage on her medication is correct. I’m guessing we have it right this time; she’s put on another half-pound, and the vet says she looks good. In keeping with tradition, she didn’t speak to me the whole way home, and Chiva has commenced hissing and smacking her, because obviously she’s the mystery cat again. And now, I cannot wait to knit for a while. Tonight will involve one or more of the following: movie; dinner; dancing; hockey-viewing; general jackassery. It’s far too early to know that yet, though. Til tomorrow, homies.Jenni
