therefore, i have come here to get lost

Pretty sure I’m going to die of tired today. It’s a gorgeous day to do it, though.

Last eveningtide, Matt and I had dinner at Salsa a la Salsa, a restaurant I regularly forget 1) exists, and 2) has really excellent food. My enchilada reminded me that I currently have all the ingredients for such at home, and if do actually manage to stay there and motivate myself tonight (current rating: unlikely), I will perhaps make me some for future lunches.

After dinner, we hied ourselves over to Town Talk, to which he hadn’t been in over a week, and I hadn’t been in 22 hours (and a loooong 22 hours they were). Ben mixed us some of the most ridiculously tasty martinis featuring the maple syrup scotch that had made a far-too-brief appearance the previous night (it’s so good, and SO sweet, it would kill me in quantity). Ice cream drinks and fancy desserts kept appearing around and in front of us; Town Talk is pretty much the only place ever that I’m tortured by not being able to eat sugar, because oh my god.

Also, our tab ended up being $13. I’m not sure how that place makes money, although they do swing pretty gigantic tips. I kind of want to live there.

Afterward, we went to the 400 Bar to see Tahiti 80, a very enthusiastic French band that digs pandas, a lot. Toward the end of the show, the bassist strapped on a panda-head to play the cowbell, and it was pretty much the greatest thing we had ever seen.

I have about 12 different options for entertainment tonight, but my current biggest fantasy revolves around washing my SUPERCUTE HAPPY SNOWMAN SHEETS so I can put them on my bed, and working on convertible mitten #3. I will report back tomorrow with my progress on these items, because I know you cannot wait to hear more about my adventures in wholesome domesticity.

Zzzzzz.
