This has been an excellent week for sports. First, we watched the Twins earning their playoff spot on Tuesday, both from barstools at Tracy’s and at home. The White Sox were kind enough to seal the deal that night.
Last night, Joe took us to a Wild game to thank me for getting him a job here. Yay!
The Wild were uniformly dreadful, but… well, it’s the preseason. They can’t be that bad all year, can they? (Don’t answer that.) It’s probably indicative that their 10-year sellout streak is over.
Today, Stephanie and I walked over to Target Field to pick up some homer hankies at the pro shop. Mine is now hanging very nearby:
Matt informed me yesterday that we won’t be able to make any of the games in the ALDS, mostly because we’ll be in Kauai then. Since that’s 5 hours ahead, let’s hope they’re night games and we can enjoy them with mai tais in the afternoon. Sounds kind of perfect to me.
Happy Thursday!
