Happy Friday! This week was surprisingly short.
The mas exciting recap, with square bullets to indicate super-excitingness:- Tuesday was
fightingknitting, during which I rushed like a crazyperson on the non-squid Valentine’s Day project, as I have limited opportunity to work on it. It is fantastic. I am very excited. - Wednesday night was photography class, where I was all proud of my photos because our teacher said very complimentary things about them. For next week, we have to take pictures of objects in motion! And get a tripod!! After class, I went over to Matt’s and fell asleep on his lap in short order, after watching USA vs Mexico futbol (I could get into soccer; it’s fast and low-scoring like hockey, and the fans are crazy), and then the World’s Strongest Man competition. I love The Ocho a lot.
- Last night, I had to take a pass on broomball due to the hip injury (I think next week I will attempt to tend goal again, because it seems to not hurt as much), so we went for both pub quizzes at Keegan’s. We won the first, and earned us some free drinks. Pete, Klein, and Ryan showed up, ate Mexican Wrestler truffles, and then Cindi and I got the boys talking about things that girls really don’t want to know, although the list of boy-words we came up with was pretty revealing. I would republish it here if it weren’t for the fact that Google would drop this site but quick.
- When I stopped home this morning, Chloe was busy laying a well-placed turd outside the bathroom door while I got ready for work. Apparently they have feelings about certain things. These feelings have been acknowledged, as I would prefer bodily-function detente with my pets.
- This weekend, it is going to feature severe chillaxation, trying not to freeze to death, and the weekend-long KVSC trivia marathon at Sean’s. We’re taking the overnight shift tomorrow. And Sunday? We’re going skating at Mariucci Arena. WITH THE GOPHERS.
