OK GUYS LISTEN
Yesterday morning, one of my contacts started bothering me the second I put it in, so I took it out to rinse it off. Not only did it tear, but it was missing a chunk. I worried out loud that perhaps this piece was still in my eye, but I didn’t really know what to do about that. I put in a new contact and everything was fine. This morning, my eye was all itchy, and felt pinchy when I put in my contacts. When I stopped at home to feed the cats and shower, I took them out again. Instead of my right contact, I came away with about a quarter of yesterday’s contact. It had just been chillin’ there on my eyeball for an entire day. WHAT THE HELL. On the cruise, I filled up a 2gb card with photos, and swapped out a new one on the morning of the second-to-last day. I took some pictures of the ship, of us playing shuffleboard, and our arrival into Nassau. While on the water taxi back from Paradise Island, my camera presented me with the dreaded No Image. I’d never lost photos before. I tried not to let it bother me, but it was over 50 pictures. And as you know, I’m very attached. I put in a new memory card, and spent the rest of the trip paranoid that it would happen again. Yesterday, I did some research on this here internet, and found a piece of software called CardRecovery. I downloaded the demo, plugged in my SD card, and there were my photos! I went home and paid the $40 to unlock the software. Holy crap, is that awesome. Now I won’t worry so much about losing pictures again, either. Here are a bunch of them I thought were gone forever. Last night, Matt and I went to an invitation-only event (oooo, I know) at Temple. It was happy hour all night long, and reconfirmed our love for that place. We watched a girl named Sarah down four blue martinis in short order, and I was disappointed when she and her husband left before the inevitable trainwreck. Pete joined us after the Twins game, and ate some kind of sushi wrapped in sturgeon. This morning, it was terrifically difficult to get out of bed, and it was only the fact that I had a project to do that kept me from calling in sick and staying in bed with Matt. Stupid responsibility! It’s our fivemonthiversary today, after all. And now I must run, for I have a date with Uptown Tattoo!! Later, dudes. Jenni
