HOORAY!
Boobylicious Trivia II was excellent, even better than expected. We raised over $1,000 for the team, and gave away a ton of great raffle prizes. I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Hooters, either, which came as somewhat of a surprise. They were great to us the whole way through, and I hear we may have gotten them interested in hosting their own trivia nights there. Also, our awesome server Dani wants to join our 3day team! Here are a few photos from the event. Rewind to Monday, when I embarked on some frantic shoe-shopping after work, seeking suitable footwear for swing-dancing (i.e. not sneakers or flipflops). I succeeded, and we headed to class. I love it more and more each week. Despite the sweltering heat in the room (sweating isn’t really embarrassing when dancing with one’s significant other, but he makes us switch partners occasionally, and then everyone becomes very aware of their own damp hands), it’s a great time, and we’ve gotten much better at it. I take it as a good sign that I can talk while dancing; we’ve got the basic spins down, too. Also, I’d like to say that I never in my life expected I’d be swing-dancing to ZZ Top. And yet, there it was. After class, we joined Klein, Missy, and Ryan at Keegan’s, then headed home to brainstorm trivia questions. You’d think it would be easy to come up with a million items marginally related to boobs, but it’s kind of a challenge. We ended up with a list of ideas, which Matt magically transformed into very awesome questions by the next day. Tonight, I have to go have my eyes examined so 1-800-CONTACTS will give up the goods, for god’s sake, and then we have very wholesome plans involving making dinner and doing laundry, because nobody is as excited to have a pile of clean underwear as I am. Also hockey, and knitting, and possibly even canasta if we remember how. And now it is time for me to go, so I shall leave you with this: In heaven, there is no beer. That’s why we drink it here.*Jenni *…considering a project in which I collect every recorded version of that song, ever. Man, that would be great.
