Letterpress 2 started at MCBA last night. It took me two hours to set six lines of type for our group project, which will also involve bookmaking and learning how to mix Pantone colors precisely. Exciting!

I asked our instructor my most burning letterpress question: how is most commercial work produced nowadays? I keep seeing all these amazing designs, and want to know exactly how they’re made. And now that I do know, I have approximately 30 million project ideas. Like, I’m considering just moving into the basement at MCBA. I should maybe talk to Matt about that first, though.

I have my personal project picked out, and I can start typesetting next week. I can’t wait!!
