Holy crap, I have a website?
Hey, I have been too busy with Things to update, and I would have to say that’s a very good thing. For me, if not for your killing-time-at-work pleasure.
Matt did a mas excellente job of
recapping the weekend, but if you’re too lazy to click, I will bullet it for you:
- Boat cruise through downtown Minneapolis! Best day ever!
- Swing-dancing on said boat! Best day ever!
- Naked ladies at the Otter! Best day ever!
- Falafel from Santana’s! Best day ever!
- Sleeping til noon! Best day ever!
- Dinner at Grumpy’s! Best day ever!
- Twins game! Best day ever!
- Suzi’s patio! Last time ever!
- Jaro’s for a greenie! Best day ever!
- Fathers’ Day grilling! Best day ever!
- Shoppin’ and chillin’ on Sunday! Best day ever!
At Target, the old guy serving Diet Pepsi MaxxxxxExxxtreme samples called Matt my husband. It took some self-control on both our parts to not die laughing until after we stepped away from his table. Then we honeymooned at REI, where I got a purse and he got a wallet. Oh my god, we are romantic. You can send wedding gifts either here to work, or to his apartment. Thanks!
Monday, I went to my second physical therapy appointment. She taught me some new exercises, and said everything was going well. I’m very happy about that. Afterward, we had date night. We were planning on dinner and a movie, but only got to the dinner part, because Barbette is so great. The food is excellent, the beverages are impressively strong, and the server kept calling me ‘sweet pea’. Kind of hard to leave a place like that, you know?
Last night, I had a haircut with the very-pregnant Mahogany, then we held the continuation of date night at the Riverview. For a tiny bit over $10, we got tickets, two medium drinks, and a medium popcorn. I love that place a lot. We saw
Hot Fuzz, which was low-grade funny until the last half-hour, and then we laughed til we were crying for the entire remainder of the movie. I was kind of sad that the autistic guy who repeats entire movies from memory wasn’t there, though; I was pretty sure Tuesdays were his night!
Tonight, as the boy will be bowling, my plans involve knitting, housecleaning (I gots me a bucket now), knitting, baking, knitting, and maybe pestering Cin to go out with me later. Possibly more knitting.
Ravelry, I blame you for everything, but holy crap, it makes me productive! In the past week, I finished Matt’s
Twins socks and started two new projects. I love it.
It seems that perhaps I had many smaller news items for you, dear internet, but I’m too excited about Things to compile them now. I will perhaps return with more of these at a later date. Until then, I’ll be thinking of you.
And some of those thoughts will probably be dirty.
Jenni
