i would like to hire someone to do the typing for me.

Happy REO Day!!

I am here to say goodbye again, dudes. I think my new blogplan is to just post to tell you every time I’m about to go out of town.

Tuesday was my 8-month anniversary with Matt, so we had dinner at the scene of our first date, Grumpy’s. We had the same awesome server and played the same song on the jukebox. We are totally gay, and that is pretty much the best thing ever. Also, I’ve been told that after a year together, we’re not supposed to celebrate monthiversaries anymore. JUST YOU WAIT.

Afterward, we stopped at Town Talk for a bit, and I’m surprised they remembered who we are. Patrick has now reached ‘awesome’ level, and Tim is arranging for the donation of a gift certificate to our silent auction next month. Yay!

Also on Tuesday, I sold the domain for my travel journal to a band. (I didn’t know which band at the time, but we now have a pretty good idea, and it’s someone I’ve seen before!) The end result of all of this is that my travel journal sale has paid for the cruise, and since the airline tickets were also free, I win. The cruise was already going to be awesome to the 10th power anyway, and I don’t even know how to go about adding further exponential degrees to that. My mind is already blown.

So yesterday I set up WordPress and am in the process of moving runaway truck over to a new location. I haven’t updated it in WAY too long because it was a pain in the ass, so hopefully this will encourage me to do that, too. If nothing else, it’s way easier to crosspost photos from Flickr. Win.

Last night involved packing for this weekend, a trip to my parents’ to drop off my keys (since Matt came along, they requested we sit and visit for a while, which is very cute), then dinner with Wendy at Houlihan’s, a restaurant we laugh about regularly. It turned out to be pretty awesome, though that may have been the extensive long island menu. Afterwards, we shopped at the crappiest Rainbow Foods around, and enjoyed the couch once everything was prepared for our departure.

Immediately postwork today, we’re headed up to Walker (near Leech Lake) for Moondance Jam. While seeing some of those bands will be hysterical, it’s more about the camping and hanging out and seeing Mattron playing bocce in their underpants. It is going to rule, and I’ll probably have Can’t Fight this Feeling stuck in my head for weeks thereafter.

We’ll be back sometime Sunday, with many photos and probably some awesome sunburns. See you then!

OH, P.S.!!! I’ve been meaning to do this for a while, and may someday even add it to my about page on this here site. Here’s a list of where I am on various community-based websites, and you should feel free to add me if you’re there, too.
