the quick and non-dirty recap

I loved this weekend. There was Meg’s birthday party, where we all had to wear silly hats.

Saturday, I roasted chickpeas and made foccaccia. Matt made spicy ketchup and bbq sauce, which we then used in black bean empanadas, and served with tostones and salad with caracara and blood orange viniagrette. YUM.

Sunday, we made beer bread and more empanadas, which we brought to the Superbowl party at Andy and Kristin’s. There were so many people there, a bunch of them ended up standing.

Yesterday, we bought plane tickets and Pricelined a hotel in downtown Milwaukee. We’re going with Missy, Joe, Wendy and Amelia the last weekend in February, to celebrate Matt’s birthday. (The original plan was Vegas, but it’s $400. Missy suggested somewhere driveable.)

Last night, we made these Valentines in letterpress class:

DID YOU KNOW THIS WEEKEND IS VALENTINE’S DAY?? I can’t wait!!
