I’m so excited for Halloween! We’re having a party at our house, which means we’ll get to hand out candy to the neighborhood kids and then entertain friends. We bought a copy of Poultrygeist. Beware.
Last night, Matt and I did a ton of shopping. We dropped off 8 bags of donations at ARC, then drove around front and went inside to shop. He found the materials for his Halloween costume, in addition to several other awesome things we can use at the party. That store is way better than Goodwill.
Target has already replaced most of their Halloween decor. Only HO days til Christmas!
Fall is perfect right now. We’ll probably have to get out the rakes soon, though.
Last night, I baked a loaf of bread (guys, I cannot wait to get this book; I even bought vital wheat gluten last night, which also means I can make my own seitan!) and made this Butternut Squash Risotto with acorn squash instead. The description of the risotto in that post is dead-on. It’s amazing, and I plan to have it for dinner tonight as well. Possibly tomorrow. Muchas gracias to Cheap Healthy Good for being the source of a ton of amazing recipes lately.
I reached photo #300 in Project365 yesterday. I’m pretty damn proud of myself for that.
