because i don’t have an iphone (thankfully)

I signed up for this service called Nabbit the other day after they added me on Twitter. Apparently marketing that way sometimes does actually work.

Say you’re listening to the radio, and you hear a song you like. You text them with the station frequency, and they text you (or email) back with the artist and song title. If you go to their website, there are links to buy the album, download the single, read the lyrics, etc. It’s a pretty awesome idea.

I had my first occasion to make use of it last night on the way home from the gym. This whiny, emasculated singer came on with a song I hear every time they’re not playing Whatever You Like by T.I. or Womanizer by Britney Spears (sometimes they play Beyonce, too, just to have a decent 4-song rotation). Nabbit wrote right back to tell me it was I’m Yours by Jason Mraz, and now I can put a name to that immense annoyance of a song.

WIN.

I’ll probably use it for good purposes, too. Maybe.
