eh. stuff.

My week in pictures!

Cock.
We went to this animal shelter up north and I didn’t even cry once. You know you’ve spent your entire life near a city when you want to stand and laugh at the chickens all day.

I made red velvet cake for Easter brunch.

I’m told it was good. Red velvet cake is deep-south-tacky-licious. I made it in the shape of a bunny’s head, and then when I cut it… well, you know.

My bedroom in progress. If you had to look at that wallpaper, you’d kill people and bury them in the backyard, too, you’d be repainting, too. Sometimes I take that tarp off the bed to sleep.

While I was daydreaming my way to work this morning, I realized I’m really, really excited about my upcoming classes, which start this week. I’ll be in woodshop II: the sequel, this time building adirondack chairs with adirondack ottomans. Um, ottomen? Hmm. Also, I’m taking a quilting class. With my mom! Yes, Claudia and I will be rocking some lap quilts this quarter. We rule.

Then I’m thinking for summer it’s back to yoga, because I don’t have time for hip-replacement surgery before the walk in September. I’d like to find out if someone’s offering auto shop over the summer, too, because my car-paranoia has become almost immobilizing. I hear that automotive knowledge can actually extend far beyond the tire pressure gauge and bottle of windshield-washer fluid, and so I think I’ll have to check that out.

Oh, here are some projects I finished recently, too. People seem to really dig that purse, but I’m not a fan. Version 2 will have about 80 more pockets and a button.

Later, dude.
