Yuh-huh.
So Bertine and I were talking the other day about web projects. She’s got plans for Email Roulette v3, and me, I’ve got nothin’. I’ve got one new domain, and no good ideas. So we were talking about 404s, and I was once again shamed by the fact that my various php sites (runaway truck, etc.) do not have a custom 404. Not because I don’t know how; I tell lots of other people how. I just haven’t felt the need. So I thought maybe for lack of anything better to do, and craving something web-ish to do, that I could at least set that up. But then I looked at the 404, and was reminded of why I hadn’t set it up in the first place. That’s because, due to some coincidence that is probably only perfect and strange to me, one of the Apache configurations comes with a default 404 handler that includes a link to my website. And I thought, why bother changing it, if it links back to me already? I recognize that this is kind of dumb because I’m the only person on the planet who would actually realize that, but still. Now you know why I’m slacking, at least. Some other quick updates!- One of my clients had their superswank garden shop named Best Garden Center in the 2004 Best of the Twin Cities.
Note: I wrote the data-access and shopping cart. I didn’t design the site, because, you know, graphics. Who needs graphics? - I finally have my spring class schedule in order. Yoga Mondays, woodshop Tuesdays, wu chien pai Wednesdays. Thursdays are open for the Pilates class I never make it to at the Y. I have the best intentions, but 6:45 on a Thursday night? In my world that qualifies as weekend, and therefore I go out.
- Holy crap, I’ve been walking a lot!
- Next weekend, I will accompany my mom to grandma’s house for Mother’s Day. I’m looking forward to it, because Claudia rocks, and I will have some time away from 1) life and 2) the internet to do things like knit and walk along Green Bay.
- The weekend after that, we’re having a fundraising garage sale for my 3-day! Come buy our
trashfine merchandise! Also, that’s the weekend of the AIDSWalk. You’re still welcome to join Team Plinko for the event. - We’re getting in the neighborhood of 150 pieces of spam an hour, so if you email me and I don’t respond, it’s either because of imperfect spam filtering, or I hate you. Which you believe is your choice.
I gots me some work to do. Bye now.
