Dear Scotty:
I changed my mind!
This is the tattoo for me:
I found wreckin’-ball dude on a truck at a demolition site near my house. The image is poorly-rendered and vaguely homoerotic, but damn. He’s cool.
So here’s the destruction! I don’t know why I had to stop and take pictures, but this stuff excites me. Especially once I realized that they were not knocking down Lariat Lanes, the coolest little cowboy-themed bowling alley ever. Sad thing is, we can’t even remember what this building used to be.
I like how organized the piles of rubble are. This stuff appeals to me: it’s orderly destruction. In doing further research of wreckin’-ball dude, I found
this stuff on the company’s website. It’s like a pictorial history of famous Twin Cities demolition!! Awesome.
And here are some other photos which bear no logical connection to the previous topic, except that I found them on the camera, too. So here you go.
How this picture happened:
Me: STOP!!!!! I have to go in that rusty thing!!
Mom: Sigh. (Pulls over.) Give me the camera.
So that’s me in the top of a boat in Menominee, MI. We had gone to see the launch of a brand new Staten Island Ferry. Mmm, nautical.
The world-famous Bond Pickle Factory!! I wrote about it
here, many many moons ago.
Two posts in one day! I’m done for the week.
Jenni
