projecting

Pardon me while I get all girly. I promised I would, so you had fair warning.

Here’s my stuff!

Still life with my hoodie (sans zipper), Chloe, and that rug I made that I really like a lot. The pockets on the hoodie still need attaching, too. Shh. I was gonna make this in a large so it was baggy. I’m glad I went with medium instead.

I’d show you a closeup of the fine sweater joinery, but you wouldn’t appreciate it anyway.

Camo socks! They’re way too big. But who the hell wants to wear wool socks, anyway? I’ll consider them an art project.

My new project, in addition to the phoenix sweater. I wanted to make a throw that matched my bed, because when I get around to building a platform it’ll actually look good. I got this mohair/silk blend by Rowan (kidsilk haze in beige and ecru, in case you were wondering). This stuff is fabulous and would make an awesome seethru sweater if it wasn’t too itchy to really want to wear. I’ve seen it used in shawls and scarves a lot. Anyway! If you are a modern ascetic wanting the hippest of hair shirts, this might be just what you’ve been looking for.

All I can say about knitting is that as far as hobbies go, it’s cheaper than collecting classic autos. But not by much.

That is all. Tschüss.
