Good evening.
I don’t know about you, but Charlton Heston has been and always will be my president. W can have my vote when he pries it out of my cold, dead hands. I think the biggest thing we learned from this election is that there’s one thing all Americans can agree on: apathy is something at which we excel. Let’s hear it for four more years of hypocritical moralism and economic decline. I got home this afternoon and found somewhat of a catastrophe in my living room; one on that level where I have to remind myself to breathe just to keep from stroking out. Although the disaster has since been averted, at that moment it threatened to be the giant boulder that finally broke my back this week, so I left and did what any self-respecting adult would do: I called my mother, bawling. After we talked it out, she confessed that she had been crying this morning over the election. Mr Mike Doughty has the words I could only dream of. I sometimes wonder if I possessed that kind of precise self-expression, my relationships wouldn’t be such a mess. I pray for mutual understanding and awareness. Good night.Jenni P.S. First Ave, RIP. This is a sad, sad day in Mpls history.
