Howdy.

1) I knew the day would come when I would renounce my loyalty to my old Dunn Brothers and choose a new, more convenient coffeeshop. It is Gigi’s Cafe, right around the corner from mi casa. The girls there are awesome, and the food is unbelievable. I’ll still go to my old haunt when I can, but you know. It’s just not the same. Sniff. I miss you, Clara and Michael! Crazy Mari, not so much.

2) Pam is taking me and Micci out for lunch today to celebrate us being stone-cold superstars. We had three successful rollouts this week. Micci is leaving next week. I’m going to die.

3) I pulled out all my invoices from last year and tried to roughly calculate my taxes. I’m so screwed again. Ha. I mean, I figured it’d be bad because my estimated taxes are based on last year’s income, since I really hadn’t figured I’d be here all year. So there’s that, but also a weird TurboTax assumption that kinda screwed me over and means an extra $3k I should’ve paid in estimated taxes. Can I even comprehend an April tax payment with five digits? The house is going to sell before then, right?

3.1) This may have something to do with clenching my teeth in my sleep last night.

4) I made my supermuffins yesterday! They were completely awesome, and also completely healthy. I’m going to continue to engineer the recipe so I don’t have to use eggs. I swear ever since they started making me sick (in, like, scrambled or otherwise cooked format), I can smell them in things and they freak me out. I’m not crazy. Really.

5) I discovered that I cannot listen to audiobooks while working out. You’d think it would be the perfect time for it, but I zone out way too much. Total blank-stare time. Just FYI, this is totally different than being in the zone. The zone is all about complete focus, and it’s one of the best feelings in the world.

5.1) The fitness-geek in me just went off on a wild tangent involving the physiology of the zone and the effect of endophins, but I deleted it to spare you. It was fascinating. Trust me.

6) I MADE THIS! It’s faux-suede and I just made up the pattern one day. I’m proud of myself for getting the gauge exactly right, because it was a perfect fit for the old pillow-forms I have. Email me if you want the pattern; it’s quick and makes an awesome gift.

7) I’ll close this list with something I found in a txt file on my computer. All I’m sure of is that I wrote it. Maybe it means something to you?

nuclear. nook-LEE-ar.

‘hard work and dedication got me where i am today’ is technically correct, if you replace ‘hard work’ with ‘tax fraud’, and ‘dedication’ with ‘whiskey’.

you never fucking listen.

it wasn’t by the grace of god alone. it took four unmarked squads, a can of tear gas, and a heavy-duty bolt cutter.

Uh, yeah.
