mussshy. and loving it.

OK! Now I’ll continue on from this morning’s post with the bacheloresque moment.

Scotty got his Valentine’s box today and we were completely freaking out because he almost got me the exact same thing I got him. We’re so good like that, even when we think the same thing so often it scares us.

There’s nothing better than seeing something and knowing it’s the perfect thing for them. I saw it when I went to pick up a get-well gift for someone else; I stood there and stared for 5 minutes, then wandered away thinking about it. Then I went back and stared some more. After doing that three times, I knew it was the thing for him, and also that the store people probably thought I was nuts. Also, I’m very very happy he loves the sweater I got him at Len Druskin, which is one of my favorite stores in the world even though the employees treat you like not only are you nowhere near hip enough, nor can you ever hope to be, either. I have to remember to go with my instincts and not my sister when it comes to boy-fashion. Because even though she’s like 99.9% always right about everything, sometimes she’s not.

Don’t tell her I said that. Also, I’m totally going back for the nerdy sweater, because as someone once said, he makes nerdy look sexy. It’s such a talent.

And now I’m sitting here counting the many many hours til I can go home and get my mail. You know I’m just going to get more mushy, right? Good! Deal with it.

So, the other thing I did today, apart from, um, work, is to get really psyched about the 3day(s) this year. We’ve been playing donation roulette the past couple days, so I figured it’s time to get my sites all set up. And here they are!

twin cities 3day (june 24-26)

san diego 3day (october 14-16)

So as you know, I’ll be on the crew for both of these events, not walking. Crew members are not obligated to raise the minimum donation, but it’s encouraged. I won’t pressure you to donate since I hit y’all up hard last year, but obviously, I would much appreciate it if you did.

I will, however, pressure you to support a walker. Not only do they put countless hours and miles into their training, they have to raise $2,100 to walk. I know very well how hard that is. So please donate, and if you don’t know anyone walking, I’d be happy to give you some names.

Alrighty. That’s it for this morning. Expect two or three more posts from me today.

Or not.
Jenni
