The 1%

Hell YES, it’s been three weeks since I posted. I’ve been busy doin’ stuff.

The stuff I’ve been doing on the internet: a new design for for my travel journal, and I LOOOOOOVE it. In addition to the pretty photo headers and much better fonts, it takes advantage of WordPress’ geotagging features, which means I get this fancy map. I only spend a relatively small amount of time being bothered that I can’t pin places I’ve been but don’t have a journal for, such as Texas. That was forever ago anyway, so I guess I should just go back.

The stuff I’ve been doing not involving the internet:

– We got a treadmill off Craigslist and have both been doing Couch to 5K. Both of us have noticed that our knees are not those of teenagers anymore, but it’s going really well, and I love having that as another option on days I’m not at the gym.

– The in-laws were here a couple weekends ago to celebrate their 45th anniversary. We had a great time with them.

– Minigolf league is awesome, and I’m sad it’s almost over for the summer. (Bowling starts in the fall, at least.)

– We went to our first Lynx game last weekend, and it was really fun. As expected, they won by about 580 points.

– Our visit to the fair yesterday was probably my favorite ever. The Luminarium was fantastic. Here are some photos; we’re going back again next week to cover the 2 things we didn’t see last night.

– We’re heading to Chicago tomorrow to spend a couple days wandering and revisiting the land of my youth. We have dinner reservations tomorrow at Rick Bayless’ Frontera, which is very exciting! Also, Delta upgraded us to first class on the flight, so we’re basically ballers now. We even get to use the one-percenter security line.

I’ll be back with many photos, at least half of them involving Bally!
