catching up…

Whoa, I have a blog. I have not yet hired anyone to write updates for it, though, which is why I’m so slow.

In the days since I’ve written anything of substance: we took a really interesting handicapping class at Canterbury, I went to the doctor and had a ton of blood drawn (more on that if they figure out what’s wrong with me), we obtained our marriage license, we saw the Hangover 2 with Wendy and Amelia, I booked a limo for the wedding, we saw a ska band at a weird Wisconsin-like bar in the ‘North Loop’, I wrote two articles for InfoQ.com on SQL Denali upgrade paths and scaling web apps on Windows Azure (I know you love this stuff), we watched the Bruins win the Stanley Cup (HOORAY!), and played some tennis and went swimming and enjoyed the nice out-of-doors days in general. It’s finally summer, after all.

I also knocked the 30th item off my 101 Things list, which was to rebuild 404lab.com to increase ad revenue. I’ve owned that site for over 15 years now, and I think it’s only been redesigned once or twice before. It does well making me money on Google Adsense and other ads, but I know it can do better. So hooray! Migrating that database and putzing with CSS was a big project.

Also, we went to Milwaukee last weekend with Joe, Missy, Chris, and Meg. Read all about it!
