Some of you may recognize it as our downstairs bathroom, the one with the hot lady posters and the log in the shower. Hey, our free spaces are limited, and it’s not like we’re giving up the bar area.
I got my new roller trucks this weekend, so I was finally able to put the new rollers on the press and test it out! I used a polymer plate on the Boxcar deep relief base, and the entire plate (and some of the base) ended up inked. From what I’ve read, though, that’s just a matter of taping the rails. I added a tiny bit of tape and saw no difference, but Boxcar says people have often had to add up to 1/8″ of tape to get it type-high. So that’s my next project: removing the rollers and adding massive quantities of masking tape.
From what I can tell, though, the press is in excellent condition. It needs some oil and probably further de-gunking, but things are looking pretty excellent for my new studio.

Dude, that is so seriously awesome. I can’t wait to post photo-porn of my workspace. :-)
want to borrow a naked lady calendar or two to complete the effect?
