You know what happens when I don’t update in a very long time? BULLETS!!!
- Last Dienstag evening, I had the haircutting, during which Mahogany convinced me to let her dye my hair the perfect shade of near-orange the next time I visit, and then knitting, with the room-sized vibrator, and then Town Talk, where we were welcomed back with open arms, just like we were a Journey song.
- On Mittwoch, Matt and I watched Just for Kicks, a documentary about sneakers and hiphop, and died of awesome about 14 times over. You should probably see that movie, dudes, because it’s great.
- Donnerstag, broomball was again cancelled due to the fact that it’s summer, so we went to Keegan’s and formed two mighty crews for pub quiz. Our team didn’t do that well this time (this probably has something to do with hubris), but Bill and Cindi won themselves some free drinks. Afterward, some of us went over to Town Talk, and I won a longstanding bet. I’m sorry I cannot spare more detail than that, but: HELL YES.
- Freitag, we went to Lyle’s for the customary hockey-viewing (and the Gophers’ return to conference play, FINALLY), and then met up with Cindi, Jumi, and Dave fresh from ice-skating at the Dragon. It was, well, the Dragon, which is exactly why we love it. There were several douchebags walking around in Cobra Kai headbands.
- Samstag, Cindi and I braved a mallful of dance team competitors to shop for sexy shoes and sexy underthings. We succeeded with the first task, but failed on the latter, as Victoria’s Secret had dumped the entire contents of their store into some kind of bin-related catastrophe, and the scene was horrific. In the eveningtide, we rocked the laziness hardcore. Also, the best discovery in the last week is that Matt’s DVD player gives you the finger when you do something wrong. AWESOME.
- On Sonntag, otherwise known as the Lord’s Day, we brunched at Hot Plate. I hadn’t been that impressed with their dinner menu, but their breakfast was great. We went to the Edina Target only to discover it CLOSED (that happens??), so we decided on an outer-suburban adventure to SuperTarget in Minnetonka. I went home and put some new ads on 404lab, which is superexciting because it’s my first real advertising. I mean, Google pays out on a monthly basis, but I set that up myself, you know? Later on, the Gophers magically reappeared on TVs at Lyle’s again, played the most boring first period in hockey history, and then recovered to sweep the Mavericks, extending their unbeaten streak to 22 games. Also, I should mention that KELLEN RULES.
- Today, I came to work. I consider that a hell of a success, my friends.
