pressure drop

Check out the pimp-ass water bottle I got at Target Field. Ok, it’s really not that pimp, but I like free stuff!

The game was ridiculous: 7-0 Twins at the bottom of the first. 15-3 final. How the Brewers managed to take a game in that series, I have no idea. The Twins are pretty sweep-adverse, it seems.

After the game, Matt and I bid farewell to Joe and Missy (who then sat in traffic so bad that pedestrians started directing it themselves) and went to Bradstreet. There we met Robb, who proceeded to buy us drinks just because we were hanging out with him and listening to his stories. One of those drinks was Johnny Walker Blue, which cost $45. Holy crap.

Saturday, we chilled at la casa. Lo, it was glorious. I did a lot of knitting, including these socks for Abby!

On Sunday, it was something like 94 degrees, so we headed to Lake Calhoun to lay on a blanket, drink beer, and listen to the Twins game.

Bill, Katie, and Abby showed up a little bit later, and we all laid around. Then Cindi and Adam arrived, and talk turned to camping this weekend. I can’t wait!!

It was Abby’s first visit to the lake, too. She was appropriately chill.

Afterwards, Matt and I went home and grilled arepas:

We have about 10 of them left over, which I think should probably come camping with us. It’s the kind of thing you’d want to eat at 2am around a campfire.

Tonight we’re going to pick up some donations for our 3-Day fundraiser, then we’re going to see Toots and the Maytals at First Ave. Which means I’ll have Pressure Drop stuck in my head for three weeks, but that’s par for the course anyway.
