My phone is a textbot! T-Mobile just told me I had 88 minutes in calls last month, and sent 546 texts. I received 860, which means that unlimited SMS was the best decision I ever made.
I dropped the internet service on my phone a while back, which saved me a ton of money, and I occasionally consider dropping it at home, too, because I’m there maybe an hour a day. I don’t like giving Comcast the satisfaction of my monthly bill, but I use it on the rare occasion. Also, my cats need to update their Facebooks. In other statistically-fascinating news, I developed a sick obsession yesterday with flightmemory.com, because it told me I’ve flown the equivalent of three times around the globe. (I’ve probably driven to the sun and back, though!) Anyway, I made these maps, and it’ll be very useful tracking flights going forward. In other travel-related news, 1) I bought tickets to Bumbershoot (Matt said this morning, “We’re going to see Colleen and Wu-Tang at the same time!!!”), and 2) booked our cruise in January. We’re going to Key West, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, and Honduras, on the exact same day we went to Vegas last year, with the same group plus Cindi, on the same ship we cruised on in March. I’m going to do my best to not die of excitement before then, because that’s a ridiculous amount of awesome to look forward to. In other ridiculously awesome news, Monday was our last swing class. OK, that part is kind of sad, but we had so much fun we want to keep going with it after the madness of summer is over. Also, one of the guys I danced with once when we switched partners took note of my ‘jumps out of perfectly good airplanes’ tshirt, and told me he’s gone skydiving 270 times. On Monday, he was wearing a tshirt reading, ‘there are no perfectly good airplanes’, and brought a photo over during a break to show me the jump site where he got it. He wore a response tshirt. That’s the funniest thing ever. I’m going to miss that class a lot. The rest of the week has been spent cleaning, baking, shopping for camping supplies, eating beer-cheese soup, watching Slap Shot,Jenni
