Last night, we started our independent projects at letterpress class. I had been working on a few different ideas, but when we got there and were unexpectedly jumping right into it, I decided to go with idea #53: a calendar. I’m just going to do one month (April, the cruelest month), but I’m pretty excited about it. Do you know how long it takes to set the type for 5 rows of dates and the day-of-week header? Almost three hours. Wow.
Afterwards, I joined Mike, Delaine, and Matt at King’s (where Matt and Mike were 4 beers into a ‘business meeting’) for trivia. It came down to a tiebreaker question about the 100 years war, and Matt prevailed. We won a $25 gift card, and plan to return soon. It’s so close to our house!
