Guys. I still have to write up my travel journal for Boston, but Matt did a good job of covering the basics. And, seriously, muchas gracias to drinkboston.com for showing us the way to five different excellent establishments. Their recommendations were spot-on.
Last weekend was excellent and relaxed, except for the couple of hours I spent pulling my hair out over the Gophers-Bemidji State* game Sunday. Gophers, what is wrong with you?? We see moments of brilliance (Saturday’s game was fantastic), and then absolute collapse. It’s frustrating.
I’ve been working hard on my Christmas knitting. I got a cotton market bag done for Matt’s mom, blocked a hat and some mittens for various other unnamed individuals, and picked patterns and ordered yarn for some other project. I also finished dinosaur #2; the other one for my sister was so cute, I had to make another for us:
Last night at bowling, I managed to be absolutely mediocre, as was our team in general. Thank god we’re not in a competitive league; our major goals lie in scoring the correct number of points to earn us free drink coupons.
Tonight, Matt and I are going to see Men Who Stare at Goats. I loved the book, so I have very high hopes for the movie.
Honestly, my major concerns right now revolve around things like being able to swim with sea turtles in Barbados while still having time to visit the Mount Gay distillery and do some shopping. Life is rough, dudes. 24 days!!
