I survived the great boyfriend-on-a-business-trip ordeal of aught-nine! Pretty successfully, I might add.
I kept myself very busy, of course. I did a lot of cooking, or at least prep for cooking. Here are the makings for Navratan Korma:
..and homemade paneer! I was so proud of myself. Do you know how long it takes to boil a gallon of whole milk without scalding it? I read the entire Bible while I was waiting*.
The Gophers played Friday and Saturday night. The opener at North Dakota was brutal, though we recovered some of our swagger on Saturday. I watched the first game at Lyle’s with Cindi, and the second at Big 10 with Wendy and Amelia.
I made serious inroads with my Christmas knitting, too. HOW CUTE IS GRUMPASAURUS??
Matt got home at noon on Sunday, and all was right with the world. We watched football, made awesome food, and other things you don’t want to hear about on the internet. Last night was bowling, and we were terrible. Seriously. At least there were free drinks.
Tonight, there will be shopping for our Halloween party. I can’t wait!
*I’ve never actually opened the Bible, but I’ve seen it in hotel-room drawers.
