THE BUSY.

This week, I had two days of companywide end-user training on one of the products we make here at work. If you want to lose track of time completely, I would recommend going to two days of training. Even if you get free breakfast and lunch, you will still wonder what happened to your well-ordered schedule.

In the meantime, I’ve done things like pull a muscle in my hip (ok, groin. I was totally out with a groin, as they say on ESPN) playing tennis, had significant trouble moving my leg for a bit, then mostly recovered. We had dinner with Jo, who is extremely awesome, at Town Hall Brewery. I had my review at work and got a raise, much to my surprise (not because I’m not the awesomest person to ever do a job, but because of the economy). I started taking a long series of database management courses that may result in both DBA and database developer certifications, which is kind of exciting. We’ve spent time at home cleaning up in preparation for Matt’s parents’ visit this weekend, to which we’re greatly looking forward.*

*I know that’s grammatically correct, it just sounds awkward.

I’m even ahead of schedule in Infinite Jest, knowing I won’t have much time to read this weekend.

I still have many pictures to get through from camping and subsequent adventures, but have had very little time and even less internet at home, as it broke completely last night, and the man from USI won’t be out til Sunday night. It’s possible he’ll want to put an antenna on the roof. I should maybe ask our landlord about that first.

Tonight will be a return to trivia after a long absence. The thing is, Joe Senser’s Grill and Bar and Restaurant and Doucheteria in Bloomington is not that awesome (nor is my Foursquare mayorship of it), but they give us $100 when we go. And we have a legacy to uphold.
