First, there was the draft party.
Then there was camping.
Camping was the best. There were 25+ people there at the most, and 6 people there on the last night. We had a party in the woods, held the bocce season opener, played poker using trail mix as chips, danced the Cupid Shuffle at 3am, went on a hike that made us wonder whether we’d ever get back alive, got 6 people into a haunted tee-pee, experienced a couple of St Croix Falls’ finest bars, did many inspired craft projects using the available materials, made pizzas over the fire, got carded by the park ranger, and had the generally ridiculous and awesome time we’re known for. I can’t wait to do the same thing again over Labor Day.
All I can say about this work-week is: thank god it’s only four days. We have generally chill plans, and then the weekend after this one, we’ll be in Chicago. I can’t wait!
P.S. That contest last week? They were all tags I’ve used on Flickr. And nobody won!
